Dr. İlhan completed his undergraduate law education in 2006 at Yeditepe University School of Law (Istanbul/Turkey) and his LLM in 2009 at Miami University School of Law (Coral Gables, USA). In 2013, he received his Doctor of Law degree with honors from Yeditepe University Institute of Social Sciences, with his doctoral thesis on “Validity of Arbitration Agreements.”
His primary areas of expertise are international commercial law, international commercial arbitration, investment arbitration, civil procedure law, and enforcement and bankruptcy law. Dr. İlhan serves as advisor and partner at PKF Turkey Legal. Prior to joining PKF Turkey Legal, he provided advisory services to numerous Turkish law firms.
From 2010 to 2017, Dr. İlhan served as a full-time faculty member at Yeditepe University School of Law. From the 2017/2018 academic year, he continued as a part-time lecturer at Yeditepe University and Bahçeşehir University. From 2019, he has lectured at University of Cyprus Ada Kent, and since 2022 he has continued his academic career in the Department of Civil Procedure, Enforcement and Bankruptcy at Kocaeli University School of Law.
